This is us, Sonny and Carol DeShong, founders and co creators of Desden. We've been married for forever and working together about 13 years..our life is a roller coaster with running a business and putting 3 kids through college at the same time..thankfully we have an adorable golden retriever Ranger, who acts as our therapy dog..that, and we get to the beach as often as possible!
Our Desden story actually began back in 1971, when my father in law started Landes Inc., manufacturing totes for the retail market (remember those cute wooden handled purses with the buttons?) and eventually moving into promotional products. We still cut, print and sew in our factory in Houston, today. You could say that Desden is the love child of Landes and College Football. Seriously, we love all things gameday, and noticing a gaping hole in the market for anything geared towards the female fan..Desden began. Combining our design backgrounds and manufacturing capabilities, we started in 2007 with a simple Hibiscus patterned tote and a handful of colleges..fast forward to today, where we are licensed* for over 60 universities and have expanded our line to include aprons, coolers, crossbody purses and more. Our tag line, "teaming with style" was born from the idea of combining team spirit and fashion, and that you shouldn't have to compromise one for the other!
