John O’Donnell got the idea for the apparel line in 2005 while helping a buddy with a hobby.  It quickly segued into first editions made for friends on a golf trip.

To their delight, the “surfer dude” shirts added a new favorite to their golf wardrobes. Word spread. The line has expanded into multiple categories in men’s and children’s, as well as key accessories.

johnnie-O can be seen on celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, to sports stars like Brian Urlacher and Colin Cowherd.  The brand is in 600 stores in the U.S..
